An SMS connection is composed of an SMS-13R round nut, an SMS-14 plain liner, an SMS-15 threaded male and a gasket. The SMS -14 plain liner has a flat face while the SMS-15 threaded male is profiled to fit the flat gasket. This design minimizes product entrapment which is very important for hygienic applications such as in the dairy and beverage industries. These connections are particularly useful in flow diverter panels.SMS fittings are made from both T-304 and T316L stainless steel. Sizes are DN25 (1"), DN38 (1.5"), DN51 (2"), DN63.5 (2.5"), DN76 (3") and DN101.6 (4"). EPDM, Silicone and Viton seals are available.
